I’m really excited to share this recipe with you ! The entire meal disappeared from the slow cooker before my eyes.... lol everyone got seconds 😂😂 My husband asked me to add this to our rotation, and he that would eat it any time. Super easy. Low calorie, 250 per serving. You would never know because it tastes so good, it must be bad. I seasoned to taste before serving. 🍅🧅🌶🧄🍈

Healthy Slow Cooker Tex-Mex Sloppy Joes

Ingredients:

1 can (16 oz) spicy chili beans in sauce, undrained
1lb extra-lean ground beef 
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup chopped red bell pepper
1 cup chopped onion
2 tsp minced garlic 
1 jalapeño, diced
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tsp lime juice
8 whole wheat burger buns

Directions:

 • Pour chili beans into medium bowl. With potato masher or fork, mash about half of the beans; set aside. 
 • In a skillet, cook beef, green a red bell peppers, onion and jalapeño, and garlic, over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. 
 • Pour beef mixture into slow cooker. Add beans, ketchup, chili powder and pepper. Stir to combine. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 3 hours. Stir in lime juice. 
 • Divide beef mixture among buns
