Homemade italian sweet sausage soup

10-12 raw italian sweet sausages 
2 tablespoons olive oil for frying
32 oz beef broth, low sodium
2 cups water
14 oz can tomato sauce 
14 oz can diced tomatoes 
6 oz can tomato paste 
1 teaspoon or more mixed italian seasonings 
1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder 
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 heaping teaspoon wet crushed red peppers (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste.
2 cups pasta shells for the end

Brown meat, out of casing, cut up, in oil. Put in bottom of slow cooker. Add liquids and spices. Stir, cover.
High 1 1/2 hours, then low til done.an hour or so. Add shells at the end, to cook al dente in soup.
Serve.
A nice bread will go good with this, as a little parmesan cheese if you like.
