Slow cooker : Chicken with Apples and Gravy (Recipe)

Chicken with Apples and Gravy
slow cooker 4 lt
serves 2

 ✓Recipe 

4 chicken thighs or other pieces, trimmed of excess fat
✓1 apple, cored and cut
✓1 rib celery, diced
✓1/4 lg onion, diced
✓1 clove garlic, chopped
✓1/4 tsp poultry seasoning or a mix of herbs of choice: sage, rosemary, thyme, marjoram
sea salt and black pepper to taste
125 ml water with 2 Tbsp starch (slurry)

Add apple and vegetables to the pot and stir in the slurry. Top with chicken pieces and seasoning. Cook on low about 4-5 hours. This one cooked fast, 3 1/2 hours.

Notes:  
I added a little more salt and pepper to the gravy.
It is best to move the meat to a serving dish and give the pot another stir. My gravy was thicker at the bottom.  

Served with mashed sweet potatoes and bread to sop up the goodness.
