Easy tea. Beef, potatoes, onion and French beans in gravy

Braising steak, small new potatoes (halved), onions sliced, topped and tailed french beans, stock cube, black pepper,. Fill to just below the meat and low for 12 hours

There isn't really a recipe but I'll have a go.

For 3 hearty eaters
Sliced braising steak, 1 1/2 pounds, 600ish g, cut into big prices (mine were minimum of 3 inch squares),
1 1/2 pounds, 600g small new potatoes cut in half
2 onions peeled halved and sliced
Bag of fine French beans, about 200g or 1/2 pound. Topped, tailed and halved
1 beef stock cube, crumbled over top I used the oxo brand
Black pepper
Cornflower slackened with a bit of cold water.
Hot water

Load slow cooker,. Onions, potatoes, beans sear the meat (don't worry if you can't it should make too much of a difference. Place on top of vegetables. Crumble stock cube over meat. Add black pepper. Pour hot water over the meat until you can just see it creeping up to last of veg but before it gets to the meat.
Put on low a don't worry about it for 12 hours. It will stand longer
Lift out meat, Pour in cornflower slurry give it a stir, replace meat. Switch to high for an hour. Serve
