Recipe
Beef steak cubed
Celery 2 sticks chopped
Onion diced medium size
Carrots
Potatoes halved and quartered.
Swede small one diced chunky
Tblsp of mixed herbs
4 oxo cubes
3/4-1/2 pint water
Salt and white pepper.
Method
Put all in slow cooker and stir.
Pop on high and leave until thickened about 6 hours then add dumplings.
Dumplings
160 grms of self raising flour
65 grms of butter or suet
I use butter.
1/2 teaspoon salt.
Sprinkle of dry parsley.
Mix together until looks like breadcrumbs then add cold water a little at a time until mixture firms up but pliable.
Roll into balls and pop in fridge to chill. When stew is done and bubbling add the dumplings cover pot with tinfoil and lid. Cook for further 30 mins and enjoy!
