French Dips.

Hi all. First time posting. I saw this recipe minus the au jus sauce years ago on a video. I've been making it since and even my kids love it. We are a family of 5 so I double the recipe. You can do one can of each and either use 1/2 packet of au jus sauce or the full pack depending on how much flavor you like if you want a smaller amount. I've personally done 2 packs for this amount (pictured) also. I like both.

I used beef bottom round roast but you can use a different cut if you prefer. I have no idea how much meat is here...I usually just eye ball it to see how much I think will feed my family. This is probably at least 3 pounds and we have enough for leftovers.

2 cans of beef consomme

2 cans of french onion soup

1 packet of au jus

Hoagie rolls (I toast mine. I use spread olive oil or butter on it and put it in the oven)

Cheese of your choice and any other toppings you'd like

Throw all together, mix and cook! Shred meat once done. I am sure you can add other veggies if you wish such as peppers.

Usually these do well on low for 6 plus hours but yesterday at hour 7, it was not ready to shred yet so I upped it to high for 2 more hours and it was perfect.
